Message by Pastor Kyrell: Shaped in Crisis The biblical narrative is, in many ways, a chronicle of crisis. From the flood to the exile, Scripture was forged in catastrophe. The prophets emerged not in prosperity but in moral collapse and political ruin. The psalms of lament outnumber songs of celebration, born from raw suffering. Even the New Testament centers on the execution of an innocent man and persecution of his followers. What we hold as sacred text was often written by people whose worlds had fallen apart—shaped not despite disaster and dysfunction, but because of it. The Bible is less a manual for avoiding hardship and more a testament to finding God within it.
