Beskrivelse

In the summer of 2007, a cartographer named Arthur Salt drove west out of Haven County, Kansas, with a contract to update a series of township maps for the state survey office. The roads he followed were the ones printed on the old maps—two-lane blacktops that cut through wheat fields and past grain elevators, roads that ran straight as a surveyor's line until they didn't. He was a meticulous man, Salt was, the kind who noticed when the odometer didn't match the mile markers, when the sun seemed to hang in the same place for hours, when a town that should have been on the map simply wasn't there. He found a place called Verden that wasn't on any map he carried, and when he asked about it at the gas station in the next county, the old man behind the counter said, 'You been to Verden? Well, that explains the look on your face.' This is the story of the road that kept finding itself again, and the map that drew itself. #HavenCounty #VerdenKansas #ArthurSalt #TheRoadThatWentNowhere #CartographyHorror #ImpossibleTown #WheatFieldHorror #RoadTripHorror #MapThatDrewItself #KansasHorror #2007 #SummerHorror #LiminalHorror #GasStationEncounter #MileMarkerHorror #TheManWhoMeasured #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Man Who Mended the Fence at the Edge of Warren County

In the autumn of 1987, on a long empty stretch of Old Mill Road in Warren County, Luna stopped to help an old man repairing a barbed-wire fence in the rain. He was polite, unhurried, and spoke of the fence as if it held something more than livestock. Over the course of an hour, she learned about the property line that no one in the county could remember being drawn, and about the things that pressed against it on still nights. The man's name was Emmett Cole, and he had been mending that same section of fence for forty-seven years. He did not seem old enough for that. By the time Luna left, the rain had stopped, and she understood that some boundaries are maintained not to keep things in, but to keep them from noticing they are being kept out. This episode is a quiet, slow-burn meditation on the edges we maintain and the things that wait just beyond them. #WarrenCounty #OldMillRoad #EmmettCole #TheFence #BarbedWire #PropertyLine #Autumn1987 #Rain #Truck #Boundaries #Mending #Edge #ThinPlaces #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TheLonelyChapter #Luna #SlowBurn Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Man Who Built a Door in His Basement

In the autumn of 2019, on the outskirts of a town called Larkspur, Ohio, a man named Charles opened a door in his basement that he had no memory of building. He told me about it over the phone, his voice hollow, like he was reading from a script he hadn't written. The door was solid oak, old, with a handle that felt warm to the touch. Behind it, a corridor that shouldn't have existed, lined with doors of its own. He said he walked down it once, just to see where it led. He came back changed—not in a way you could see, but in a way you could feel, like something had been subtracted from him and replaced with an echo. I drove out to Larkspur three weeks later. The house was empty. The basement was empty. But the door was still there, and it was still warm. #TheLonelyChapter #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #LarkspurOhio #Door #Basement #Corridor #Charles #Autumn2019 #Oak #WarmHandle #Echo #UnfinishedManuscript #Rain #Window #OilLamp #Luna #SoloNarration Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]

The Night She Closed the Book on Hemlock Road

October 1997. A used bookstore on Hemlock Road in the town of Blackwood, Maine. Luna stops in on a rainy Tuesday night and meets the woman behind the counter—a woman who knows exactly which book each customer is looking for before they ask. The shelves seem deeper than the building should allow. The woman's name is Miriam, and she has not left the store in thirty years. What she offers Luna is not a book, but a choice—and the ending of a story that was never meant to be finished. A quiet, intimate encounter about memory, loss, and the stories we carry that will not let us go. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #SoloNarrated #TheLonelyChapter #BlackwoodMaine #HemlockRoad #Miriam #UsedBookstore #October1997 #RainyNight #TheBookOfLostEndings #StoriesThatWontLetGo #AtmosphericHorror #SlowBurnHorror #IntimateHorror #Gothic #GhostStory #LiteraryHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo [https://buymeacoffee.com/fexingo]
