Building (True) Wealth: Part 3 - Connection

As we conclude our True Wealth series, we turn our focus on to the idea of connection, the relationships in our lives that enrich and shape our days, and in a lot of ways, makes all the other forms of wealth worth pursuing!  This week, we're digging into three spheres of connection in our world today: our inner circle, the wider web and connections made online. From marriage to Anne of Green Gables, from Catherine the Great of Russia to parasocial relationships, and from local league hockey to one-upping each other with our "regulars" statuses at our respective local pizza joints, we are taking a closer look into what meaningful connections really look like today, and how we can cultivate them in a way that’s truly intentional.

Continuing in our exploration of the things in life that make us truly wealthy, we land here on a focus on our health.  This past year, 2025, provided both of us with huge wakeup calls when it comes to the value of our health and it has motivated us to reflect on all the ways this new perspective is shaping our mindsets moving forward.  Our conversation takes us through so many topics, from meal planning with high grocery costs to Theology of the Body, from the dignity of the person to online Zumba classes... and (what feels like) everything else in between!  Our bodies are truly a gift to both be grateful for and to steward well!

The later days of October introduce a new chill to the air - both in the natural world as temperatures drop and in society as we anticipate Hallowe’en.  But there is also stirring within and of the heart for many people around the world, because this time of year brings to the forefront of our minds the reality of death and spurs the remembrance of those gone before us. Though at times it can be a contentious discussion, we were fascinated by the real history of Hallowe'en and how what is presented in our culture today may be missing quite a lot of the mark.
