Todd and James return from the long break and briefly discuss the winter weather chances Arkansas has had and will have towards the end of winter. James thinks that winter weather is done for most of us, but Todd is holding onto hope that another chance of frozen precip returns to the state before winter is over. Todd and James discuss the upcoming chances for severe weather, but discuss long range SPC outlooks and why they are being issued when the severe weather risk appears to be very low. The guys discuss the long stretch of low severe weather activity in Arkansas the last few years and how that has to come to an end at some point. Episode 9 - December Tornadoes, Warmth, and the SPC

In the first episode after the holiday break, Todd and James talk about the tornadoes of December 10th, 2021 and the EF4 that struck northeast Arkansas. The guys also get into Storm prediction center severe weather risks and the inconsistencies in messaging and how they communicate that as broadcasters. Enhanced risks can cover days like December 10th, but Arkansas also had similar risk areas late in December with no severe weather reports. Todd and James talked about the chance for a cold December in previous podcasts, but after record warmth they own the bust and briefly talk about why things went the complete opposite direction.

Episode 8 - We Say Some Stupid Stuff

Todd and James talk about things that weather broadcasters say that they wish they didn't say. There are catch phrases used throughout the weather enterprise that are are accepted, but are the true? Todd and James talk about terms like "spin up" and "thundershowers". James and Todd also discuss the phrase "tornado on the ground" and the redundancy of it. Todd and James briefly mention that record warm start to December and how winter so far has not been fast to start.
