Beskrivelse

In this episode, we revisit the importance of the Secret Place in the Christian life. Too often, this discipline is neglected as we do other "easier" and "more fun" church activities. However, every area of lack in our lives - how we feel about ourselves, our future, our family - is tied to whether or not we are connecting to the source of our refreshing. Earshot #1: What is The Normalcy Exodus?

In this first "Earshot" (what I'm calling the shorter, random podcast releases), I briefly cover the design and intent of the podcast.  The title "The Normalcy Exodus" was inspired by two existing ideas: 1 - The Normalcy Bias. This is the idea that because something has never happened, it never will. It's when we allow what has become normal in our lives to dictate what's possible. 2 - The Exodus of Israel. The story of when God's people were led out of bondage and began their migration back toward their original promise.  My heart is that we, as individuals and as God's collective people, are able to make our own Exodus of Normalcy. To shed traditions of men and repetitions of religion and embrace the absurd and radical truth that the Bible offers us if we are willing to seek it. To be re-empowered with zeal and awareness of the tangible love of the Trinity and to prioritize that connection as most important.  I hope you'll track with me as this evolution begins. Let's make it personal.
