Q recalls growing up in a culturally diverse environment and dating girls from multiple backgrounds. He explains that his family has always accepted his interest in white women, but did that come to the detriment of his identity as a black man? Lea recounts her time with a boyfriend in high school who she had to hide from her father. Listen to hear about their wild and traumatizing pasts that eventually led to each other.

Welcome to the first episode of the "Not So Black and White" podcast. Your hosts Lea and Q introduce themselves and give a brief background on their relationship as being an interracial couple. The goals of this podcast and its future are explained. This show aims to provide a platform for interracial relationships and the foundation and history of them in America. Lea is a white female and Q is a black male. They discuss meeting in college and growing up how Lea's family was not accepting of their relationship until recently. They give their perspective of how being in an interracial relationship compares to a non-interracial relationship.
