We deconstruct and contemplate our own understanding of these urban legends and how they have impacted us all. From killer beasts to eerie apparitions that tread both land and water. 28. Witches

Genesis. The Divine Feminine. Mother Nature. Goddess. Witch. Women embody the characteristics of all these things and to understand it’s complexity is to understand life after death. Unfathomable. As we roll into the new season we thought what better way to celebrate than with a bit of discourse on the very concept of what woman truly are. The witch embodies everything and nothing that takes claim over her all at once. We deconstruct the ideologies that created “The Witch” and share what our own beliefs of who they are and what they truly mean. This episode isn’t spooky in the slightest but it is every bit dark and telling. So join us on The Other Side to find all the magic and alluring truth to who witches really are.

27. Colonialism

This week we are exploring the origins of colonialism and how it has come to affect everything and everyone we know. As hispanics, we dive into our life stories of mixed race from native american ancestry to our ties with the European race. Our names. Our families. Our customs. Our beliefs. They’ve all been a product of being mestizos (mixed race) and our identity as latinxs. We go over topics such as colorism, racism, and other social aberrations that have shaped the world that we live in today. The very two languages that we speak as latinxs is English and Spanish. Both colonial tongues. So join us for this episode on The Other Side and see if perhaps you can relate with us about a thing or two about our past, future, and perhaps even the present. 26. Dreams

It’s the episode you’ve all been waiting for. Dreams. We kick off this spooky season with an eerie dialogue about where our minds and bodies go when we are unconscious. Dreams have king since been an anomaly to science and still isn’t wholly understood today. Things like lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, night terrors, daydreams, fever dreams, and even astral projecting are some of the most popular modes of experience when it comes to our R.E.M. sleep. Join us this week as we open up to some of our past experiences with dreams and how even fainting (unconsciousness) has even given us a new perspective on dreaming, overall.
