One of the best things that separates Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from just about every other sport on the planet is that its top instructors and competitors are (often) accessible to the general public. You can schedule a private lesson with just about anyone, even at a pretty reasonable cost. Private sessions are an excellent solution to time constraints on regular training or as a booster to it. Being a numbers guy, I thought I'd investigate the general parameters of the following question: "How many Jiujitsu sparring rounds has the average black belt participated in?" As you can imagine, the variables are many but, as with many of these questions, not as many as you'd think. Human beings are far more predictable than we give ourselves credit. Why I do these podcasts

Why do I do these podcasts? Simply put, because I want to get even better at communicating my ideas and thoughts. As a teacher, it's kinda important. The other reason is because putting my thoughts out there for all to see (hear) scares me a little (a lot) and I don't like (I hate) being scared of...well, anything!
