Hello ladies, gents, and non-binary folx! For the third episode of our Black History Month series, we are joined by MLA Uzoma Asagwara. Uzoma is currently a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Manitoba for Union Station. They made history in 2019 for being the first Black, queer MLA in Mantioba's history. They joined us to talk about their journey getting into politics, some of the challenges they deal with in the Manitoba legislature, and the importance of representation for all voices especially Black people in Canadian politics both federally and provincially.
