In the next minute of the show, we look at a scene in the 2017 film, The Year of Spectacular Men, and discuss some of the things that come up with interracial dating / relationships.  Communication (or rather miscommunication) is part of any relationship and when we are vulnerable in intimate relationships, sometimes things in our heritage and upbringing can get highlighted.  Sometimes we forget the we are unique people and our partners can't read our minds and don't know all the things that make up our backgrounds.

In this next episode, we look not only at the next minute of the 2017 film, The Year of Spectacular Men, but also touch on race, ethnicity, and complications when it comes to depictions in the media as well as in Western medicine (which does not have the best track record when it comes to how people from non-Western cultures are sometimes thought of).  The more we can hopefully discuss these kind of topics frankly and openly, the more awareness we will hopefully have a society in being able to confront differences that separate us.

In this next episode, we touch on the next minute of the 2017 film, The Year of Spectacular Men, in which the main character, Izzy has loaded up on 4 cups of coffee by 6:30 AM after an unexpected sexual encounter and bursts into the room of her still sleeping sister and her sister's boyfriend to debrief.  Needless to say, they are less than amused.  We discuss what might be an obvious phenomena - drinking too much coffee can make one wired ... but discuss some aspects of physiology when it comes to stimulating substances (like caffeine) as well as the at times complex and often misunderstood interplay between anxiety and inattention (which are often found together).
