This finance guru launched a financial literacy program to support female market vendors in Uganda

Women are the backbone of the household in Uganda — they manage the home, care for the children, pay school fees and hospital bills, and contribute greatly to the household’s livelihood. Supporting women means supporting the entire family. In Uganda, women also are more likely than men to be motivated to start a business out of necessity.
