Niceberg Sessions 2

Seit ich in Berlin wohne, habe ich die Mix-Serie “Niceberg Sessions” neu im Programm. Alle diese Mixe sind meinem Kiez Schöneberg Nord und seinen Bewohnern gewidmet. Doch dieser Mix ist etwas ganz besonderes: ich habe versucht, ein Abbild des Kiezes im Mix zu schaffen. Durch Stil und Abfolge der Tracks wird die Stimmung und Atmosphäre des Kiezes wiedergespiegelt. Einige Tracks sind fröhlich und groovy, andere sind etwas aggressiver. Viele klingen orientalisch, andere klingen chaotisch. Und doch passen sie in dieser Mischung zusammen. So wie im Alltag der Sonnenschein auf das Gewitter folgt und die Versöhnung auf einen Streit, wird jede Aggression, die der ein oder andere Track erzeugen mag, im folgenden Track wieder ausgeglichen. Gegen Ende wird die Musik versöhnlich und harmonisch, die Vocals des letzten Tracks “You’re the sun to me” läuten ein ruhiges Ende ein.. bevor dann doch noch ein allerletzter Track aus dem Nichts hereinkracht und im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes “Thank you” sagt. Jeder einzelne Track ist von mir sorgfältig ausgewählt worden. Viele der Melodien haben etwas melancholisches und sehr sehnsüchtiges an sich, passend zur Stimmung im Kiez. Dieser Mix wird jeden, der elektronische Musik auch nur ein kleines bißchen mag, mitten ins Herz treffen. Und, an dieser Stelle muss es mal gesagt werden: ich bin nur der DJ. Vielen vielen Dank an alle Künstler, die ständig diese fantastischen Musikstücke komponieren und produzieren. Ihr seid der Hammer. Ich wünsche Euch viel Freude mit diesem Mix! Die größte Freude wäre es aber, wenn ich tatsächlich durch diesen Mix Emotionen wecken und Euch berühren konnte. Über feedback würde ich mich daher dieses Mal ganz besonders freuen.

This is the sound of a broken heart and a wounded soul. My best, yet saddest mix so far. Why does good music so often need greef and tears? If it touches you, feel free to share it. Progressive Sessions Part 5

Hi everyone! I have just come back from a fantastic 4-week mayhem-like session in Berlin with lots new impressions and musical influences. I played my first Berlin gig in a club called FATEclub and I am sure there is more to come! Berlin will continue to play a big role in my life for sure. This mix was created on the way back, still under the impression of this amazing city. Musically it is quite different from my previous stuff I would say, it combines not only Progressive House and Progressive Trance, but also includes Trance, Techno and Electro House.
