SUBMITTED BY:  Mike Ellington a.k.a. “AllinMan”  _____________________________________________________________ Good morning, Vic and Ken. Today I would like to present my older brother, Harry P. Ellington, as our Vic 4 Vets Honoree. He was a member of the US Air Force. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant E-5. His job was an AP that’s Military for COP. He was married and had three children. Since he was my older brother, he taught me how to Play Baseball, along with our Father, Who Had the same first name. His service time was from 1963 to 1967. I remember he told me the reason he joined the Air force, it was because JFK ask “what can you do for your county”  Our immediate family cover all the services My Father WW2 Army Purple Heart, He “Boots” what we call Harry, Air Force, My younger Brother Ken The Marine Corp, and myself the Navy.  He loved his God, his family, and his country. (He is with our God now) His favorite little ditty was the recruitment song they sang, “They took the blue from the skies. And a pretty girl's eyes. And a touch of Old Glory's hue, And gave it to the men/women who proudly wear. The U. S. Air Force Blue” Happy 250th Birthday, America, and to all my active firefighters, Stay Dry!
