Acts 2:42-47 Listen to this sermon here or on Apple Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-vine-online/id1776673818] or Spotify [https://open.spotify.com/show/1ZaSkD5plvGvZjKWLlWfMD]. Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿 On this Pentecost Sunday, we reflected on the beauty and power of the early church through Acts 2:42–47. After the coming of the Holy Spirit, the believers didn’t simply gather occasionally—they devoted themselves fully to a new way of life centered around Jesus and shaped by genuine community. This passage gives us a picture of what the church was meant to be: * Devoted to the teaching of God’s Word * Committed to fellowship and life together * Regularly breaking bread together * Grounded in prayer We also see a community marked by generosity, unity, worship, and awe at what God was doing among them. Their faith wasn’t isolated or casual—it shaped the way they lived, cared for one another, and gathered together daily. As we celebrated Pentecost, this message challenged us to ask: What are we truly devoted to? And does our church life reflect the heart of the early church? May this service encourage us to pursue authentic community, deeper devotion, and lives shaped by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. #Pentecost #Acts2 #EarlyChurch #BiblicalCommunity #TheVineChurch
John 12:27-36 — Jesus Chose the Cross
Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿 In today’s message from John 12:27–36, we step into a deeply emotional moment in the life of Jesus as He approaches the cross. Though His soul was troubled, Jesus chose obedience, surrender, and the glory of the Father over escape from suffering. At the center of this passage is a powerful truth: Jesus embraced the darkness of the cross so that we could walk in the light of life. In this message, we reflect on: - The humanity of Jesus and His real anguish before the cross - Why the cross was not an accident or “Plan B,” but the very reason Jesus came - How what looked like defeat was actually victory over sin, darkness, and death - Jesus’ invitation to walk in the light before darkness overtakes us The crowd struggled to understand a Messiah who would suffer and die. But Jesus reveals that true glory would come not through avoiding the cross—but through embracing it. This passage calls us not only to admire Jesus, but to believe Him, follow Him, and walk in His light while we have the opportunity. May this service encourage you to trust the Savior who willingly walked into suffering so that we could experience life, hope, and freedom through Him. #John12 #WalkInTheLight #JesusAndTheCross #HopeInChrist #TheVineChurch
Mother’s Day 2026
Welcome to our Mother’s Day Worship Service at The Vine! 🌿 This Sunday, we celebrated and honored the many women represented in our church family — mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, those rejoicing, those grieving, those still waiting, and those faithfully praying through difficult seasons. We also enjoyed a special video message from our kids, reminding us of the love, encouragement, and impact mothers and women have in our lives. Our message came from Matthew 15:21–28, where we encounter a mother whose desperate situation led her to Jesus with bold and persistent faith. Despite obstacles, silence, and discouragement, she refused to walk away. At the center of this passage is a powerful truth: Real faith refuses to quit until it reaches Jesus. In this message, we reflect on: - A desperate mother who ran to Jesus in faith - How silence and waiting can deepen persistent trust - The humility and perseverance that mark genuine faith - The mercy of Jesus toward those who continue seeking Him This story reminds us never to underestimate what God can do through one praying mother—or through anyone who continues trusting Jesus when the answer doesn’t come immediately. Whether today was joyful, difficult, hopeful, or heavy for you, our prayer is that this service points you to the compassion, mercy, and faithfulness of Christ. #MothersDay #FaithThatPersists #Matthew15 #TrustJesus #TheVineChurch
