Gregory Ulmer

Dr. Gregory Ulmer is a prolific scholar whose ideas and works intriguingly look at the roles and understandings of philosophy and pedagogy alongside our technological developments. His concept of electracy entails significant consideration as a framework, and the production exercises established with his theories look to fruitfully apply his notions. He is currently Professor Emeritus with the Department of English at University of Florida, and his multiple publications include Internet Invention: From Literacy to Electracy (2003), Avatar Emergency (2012), and Konsult: Theopraxesis (2019).

Dr. Barbara Forrest

Dr. Barbara Forrest is a scholar whose intellectual encounters have morally and rhetorically responded to some of the most challenging humanist opponents in the past few decades. Principally known for her arguments against teaching Intelligent Design in public schools with her book Creationism’s Trojan Horse, Dr. Forrest’s works and presentations have been featured across many publications and mediums. She is currently a retired Professor of Philosophy from the Department of History and Political Science at Southeastern Louisiana University.

J. Edward Osborne

Dr. Jonathan Edward Osborne is a scholar of rhetoric whose work explores the nuances of argument and propaganda and persuasion within the U.S. social/political arena. With publications on composition and rhetoric, many of his projects uniquely focus on African American Rhetoric. Dr. Osborne is currently an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric with the Louisiana State University English Department.

Roopika Risam

Dr. Roopika Risam is a scholar and advocate in the digital humanities, challenging the current inclinations of the cultural record and its production and access. Her latest published book, New Digital Worlds: Postcolonial Digital Humanities in Theory, Praxis, and Pedagogy, has become a catalyst for social and academic reflection, and in all of her work, she passionately and analytically encourages a discussion of the origin of the humanities, where we currently reside within the record, and how we can move forward with it as earnest stewards. Directing many critical studies and digital production projects, Dr. Risam is currently an Associate Professor of English at Salem State University.

Marianna Kunow

Dr. Marianna Kunow is an ethnographer/ethnobotanist who has studied the culture and traditions of the modern Maya people and their medicinal uses of nature in the surrounding area. Her work in Yucatan, Mexico, produced the published book Maya Medicine: Traditional Healing in Yucatan, which intimately details a sample of curers, plants and herbs, and social structures through expertly conscious text and rendered sketches. Dr. Kunow teaches Spanish and mythology with the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Southeastern Louisiana University.
