episode Case-4 | The Vampire of Sacramento cover

Beskrivelse

In 1970s Sacramento, a man decided that murder wasn’t enough—he needed to drink blood too. Because that was the logical next step, obviously. This episode looks into the case of the so-called Vampire of Sacramento: the crimes, the myths, and the unsettling psychology behind a man who genuinely believed violence was a form of survival. We unpack how delusion, control, and unchecked obsession blurred into something far darker—and how long it took for reality to catch up with him. No legends. No theatrics. Just a very real reminder that sometimes the scariest monsters don’t hide in stories—they walk around convinced they’re justified. episode Case-5 | Order of the Solar Temple cover

Case-5 | Order of the Solar Temple

In the 1990s, the Order of the Solar Temple promised enlightenment. And by “enlightenment,” they mostly meant ritual drama, paranoia, and a few very tragic plot twists. Because obviously, that’s how cults show you the light. This episode dives into the beliefs, the psychology, and the chaos behind one of the most notorious modern cults, where devotion, control, and delusion mixed into something far darker than anyone signed up for. No legends. No theatrics. Just a reminder that some of the scariest monsters aren’t hiding, they’re convinced they’re saving your soul. And no, of course I am not tired, I am just nonchalant and sigma. (This episode was a bit hasty because I procrastinate a lot, duh) For cult-y visuals and case-related pictures, check out my Instagram @sharanyasaidso. episode Case-3 | The Case of Nithari cover

Case-3 | The Case of Nithari

Bodies buried in drains. Children vanishing. A quiet Noida house hiding horrors beyond imagination. In this episode of This Can’t Be True, I’m diving into one of India’s darkest and most haunting true crime cases — the Nithari killings. This one hits way too close to home (literally). From shocking police discoveries to alleged confessions that later unraveled, we’re unpacking the chaos, confusion, and chilling mysteries that still echo through Noida’s lanes today. Because sometimes, the scariest stories aren’t from horror movies… they’re from your own cities. Honestly, I shortened it up a lot because it was chilling to talk about this case. After all, my city is literally defined by this case. For legal reasons, everything I've said in this case is alleged. Except like, the facts about what was discovered and all. Bonus Episode- The Untold, Unsolvable Case of Missing Braincells ft. Asmi

So… my best friend crashed my podcast. And instead of murderers, we decided to expose ourselves. True crime took a backseat while we tried to solve a mystery of our own — how are we still functioning after losing all our brain cells? Minor continuity errors ahead — because I had to edit out like half the episode. We did not plan this. At all. Somewhere in the chaos, we just set up and pressed record, and the next thing we knew, we had a huge recording full of things we probably shouldn’t have said. So please don’t cancel us. All the bleeped-out parts in the podcast are just names — not swears. We’re only protecting people’s privacy (and, honestly, maybe our lives). So yeah, welcome to the episode no one asked for, but we recorded anyway.
