Best known for his research on peanuts and crop rotation, Carver helped improve farming practices by teaching farmers how to restore nutrients to depleted soil while developing hundreds of useful products from plants. His work transformed agriculture in the South, improved the lives of countless farmers, and demonstrated the value of education, creativity, and hard work.
