Kevin is a radio legend having started off at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI, moving to WLAV in Grands Rapids, MI, doing 9 months in St. Louis, MO before heading to the iconic WLUP “The Loop” in Chicago and conquering the world for 15 years!  Later he came BACK to Grand Rapids and WLAV where I had the privilege of doing a bunch of work with him.  Kevin now travels the country with a statue of the Virgin Mary he found discarded in 2010 called “Broken Mary” and extends the beautiful message of redemption.  He’s written two books about “Broken Mary” and released a documentary in October of 2025 called “Broken Mary: The Kevin Matthews Story”.  You can find Kevin at www.brokenmary.com or on Instagram at @kevinmatthew5128.
