Beskrivelse

In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we are bringing back to Business Mastery one more time, where Tony recently led a panel discussion with the business leaders behind some of today’s fastest growing companies. And for this episode, you’re going to hear from one of the founders of a company that change the travel industry forever. When is the last time you booked a trip somewhere? Where did you stay? Was it a hotel? Or did you opt for the alternative and rent a room, or maybe an entire house, from a local? The idea of staying in a stranger’s home may have blown your mind a few years ago, but today it’s not just a standard practice, it’s actually the preferred accommodation for tens of millions of travelers across the world. And there’s one company to thank for that – Airbnb. Airbnb started as a simple solution to a pressing problem; co-founders Joe Gebbia and Brian Chesky couldn’t afford rent, so they opened up their San Francisco apartment for guests to stay in. They soon realized they may be onto something bigger than just a way to avoid being evicted. So, along with their old roommate, Nathan Blecharczyk, they started to build it into a business. But that was nearly 10 years ago. Airbnb has evolved substantially since then, though it was by no means a straight path to success. In fact, they launched and relaunched a number of times. They found themselves up to their ears in debt, rejected by investors over and over and were very close to flatlining on more than one occasion. You will hear their story of perseverance, and how they were able to find opportunities for massive growth where there were seemingly none. You will also hear about the importance their design background played in creating trust amidst strangers and giving customers the experience they wanted. And you will hear how they transcended cultural boundaries and were ultimately able to turn a floundering idea into a global business that operates in more than 34,000 cities in 91 countries, and is now estimated to be worth $30 billion. Lessons in Leadership from a 4-Star General | Tony Robbins Podcast

Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey – some of the greatest leaders of all time. But what makes each of these individuals such a remarkable leader? And how do we define great leadership? We may be apt to hold on to the traditional notion that leadership is defined by rank and order. But your position or title alone does not qualify you as a veritable leader. Think about it, how many CEOs are there in the world that hold a position of great power, but have a nominal impact on their employees? How many managers aren’t even respected by those that they manage? Even brilliant and innovative individuals can stumble when it comes to finding their voice. Because leadership is not defined by a position, nor it is even defined by intellectual prowess or natural talent – leadership is the skill of influence, something that you can use to impact the thoughts, feelings, emotions and actions of others. And it is the most important skill that any one of us can master. Yet as important as leadership is, in today’s world, it’s a rarity. And that’s not because there is a scarcity of natural born leaders. In fact, leadership can be cultivated. Many of us suppose it’s an innate talent, but anyone can become a leader in something that they decide to become masterful in. You could be the leader in your business, the leader in your class, the leader in your own family. You could even decide to become the leader of your own life. There are different types and different styles of leadership. But real leadership starts with the capacity to discipline your disappointment. Because along any journey worth taking, you are going to encounter obstacles, and odds are, you are going to fail. But if you can find a way to connect to yourself, and connect to others, and if you can find a way to break through those challenges, you can become a true leader. And when you strive to serve the greater good – something greater than yourself – that’s when you can become a truly great leader. Tony and Mary Buckheit recently sat down with General Stanley McChrystal and Chris Fussell to discuss what great leadership looks like today and how to cultivate an infrastructure for success in any organization. In this episode of the podcast, you will hear Tony, General McChrystal and Chris delve into the reasons that leadership no longer comes from a command and control model, but from creating relationship-based change throughout the entire organization and by empowering every single person that is part of your business. And they examine the importance of building trust, remaining flexible, practicing empathy, and creating a culture of shared consciousness. By breaking out of the traditional sense of leadership, business owners can create a more cohesive and more powerful team that is not only more unified, but more efficient, and ultimately, more effective. episode The #1 Secret to Getting Things Done | Tony Robbins Podcast cover

The #1 Secret to Getting Things Done | Tony Robbins Podcast

Many times in life, we credit someone’s successes or failures to will power. If you’re able to power through a challenging task and succeed, you’ll be applauded for your impressive display of will power. If you fail to reach a major milestone, you blame yourself for not having enough will power. But will power alone isn’t enough to help you reach the success you crave – it all comes down to the power of habit. What are you doing to form the habits that will make you feel better in business and in your life in general? What habits are you forming and practicing that enable you to be the most authentic, successful, joyful version of yourself possible? On the other hand, what habits are holding you back from achieving all that you’re truly capable of? You have to understand the power of habit and put it to work for you. To do this, you need to understand the evolution of a habit and recognize when you’re forming and practicing habits, be they good or bad. In this practice, you become able to achieve more in your professional and personal life. If you’re running your own business, you can get customers to modify their habits and form new ones by purchasing your products or services. In this video, you’ll hear from Charles Duhigg, a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter and author of the bestselling book, “The Power of Habit,” and the novel, “Smarter Better Faster.” Duhigg began studying the power of habits after he worked as a junior reporter, covering war stories in Iraq. Duhigg, along with Tony Robbins’ Podcast host Ana Yoerg, dive into what it takes to form and maintain a powerful habit. Duhigg explores bad and good habits, and how many of the things we think of as choices in our lives are actually the result of habits we’ve been practicing – sometimes without even realizing it. We often respond to a cue *which triggers that habit to start), a routine, which is how we typically respond to the cue, and finally, a reward. That reward is the signifying act that teaches our brain to remember that pattern, ultimately triggering all of our habits, good and bad. It’s never too late to break new habits and reestablish old ones. Tune in to this powerful discussion and discover how habits can transform our businesses, communities and, ultimately, our lives. episode Is Wealth More than Money? | Tony Robbins Podcast cover

Is Wealth More than Money? | Tony Robbins Podcast

How will you know when you’ve reached true wealth? Is it when you have your dream home? Once you own an expensive car? Perhaps the signifier is when you’re wealthy enough to have your own private airplane? In Tony’s opinion, these are the wrong things to use when measuring your wealth. The people with mansion-sized homes, with three sports cars sitting in the garage, with a private plane that takes them to and from their vacation home – these people may not necessarily have access to true wealth. None of these are indicators of true wealth; they’re indicators of monetary wealth. True wealth is the ability to live life on your own terms. It’s freedom. Tony explains that money itself isn’t wealth, it’s a vehicle – a tool you can use to achieve financial freedom, to go after the dreams you didn’t think were possible, to design your life in a way that makes you feel alive and fulfilled. While Unshakeable is a financial freedom playbook, the process of becoming unshakeable is a mindset that extends far beyond the stock market. Being unshakeable, in your investing strategy and your lifestyle, is about managing your head and your heart in order to design the life you deserve. What’s the point of achieving financial freedom? It’s not the concept of having money that makes us yearn to become financially free; it’s the freedom part. True wealth – true financial freedom – is being free to focus on the things that matter most to you in life. Unlike the investing world, there aren’t clear cut rules for achieving happiness. Fulfillment will come in different shapes and sizes for different people, but there are common principles we all can follow to help us find emotional and psychological fulfillment. With the tools and strategies from Unshakeable, anyone can become financially rich. The question is: Are you going to be rich and happy, or rich and miserable? Join Richard Bradley, Editor-In-Chief of Wealth Magazine, and Tony Robbins in this episode of the Unshakeable Podcast, and learn about Tony’s approach to happiness, the secrets to true wealth and what we can do to fight against the impulses of our own minds.
