How do we respond when we don’t agree with the people in authority over us? Submission can be difficult—especially when we believe we know a better way. But Scripture teaches us that the way we respond to authority says something about our trust in God. In 1 Peter 2:11–13, Peter challenges believers to live differently from the world around them, maintain honorable conduct, and submit to human authority for the Lord’s sake.
