The Dark Tenor went to the premiere of Wagner’s 'Meistersinger von Nürnberg' at Salzburg Easter Festival. With his huge experience in classical music he is the perfect opera expert to introduce us to the famous piece by Richard Wagner first shown in 1868. To Salzburg Easter Festival he went with his partner Michaela who is new to the opera genre. Together the two in this podcast tell us about their adventure at the premiere – for experts, for people who are new to opera, for everyone!

Esra Aydin meets with Leonardo di Chiara, visionary and architect behind aVOID Tiny House: a nine-sqm tiny house on wheels designed and built by di Chiara in 2017. It houses everything he needs to live a life on the road. His endeavor begs the question -- how can we return to a "back to basics" lifestyle in a world that is so driven by consumption?

We discussed this with experts from art, car-design, and politics at the "Art x Tech" conference in Beijing. It's the first conference of its kind organized by the Eliette und Herbert von Karajan Institut and the department of Cultural Engagement from Volkswagen Communications. A production by Volkswagen Group, supported by Volkswagen Group China.

“The invention of the ship was also the invention of the shipwreck” - (Paul Virilio). The `The Future Starts Here` exhibition opens with this quote. Co-curators Mariana Pestana and Rory Hyde tell us why, and what the show is about. They also give us insights into their everyday life as curators. The exhibition is running at the V&A in London until 4th November and has been supported by the Volkswagen Group. A production by the Volkswagen Group.

For the second year in a row the Eliette and Herbert von Karajan Institute hosted a one-day conference dedicated to classical music and technology in collaboration with the Salzburg Easter Festival and the Mozarteum University. We met with David Bahanovich, the Assistant Director of Music at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and talked to him about the future of music education. We also met violinist Aleksey Igudesman who recently founded "Music Traveler". He gave us exclusive insights into his project and chatted with our host Sandra Voss about his past collaborations with Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan. A production by the Volkswagen Group.
