WakeUp Daily Bible Study
Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Ephesians 4:26-27, and this episode is all about anger, offense, and learning how to let things go quickly. The Bible says, “Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.” That is such a powerful reminder that anger itself may come, but what we do with it matters. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to carry anger longer than we should. Something happens, someone says the wrong thing, a situation feels unfair, and before long we are still holding onto it hours later, days later, or even years later. But God’s Word shows us a better way. Feel it, process it, learn from it, but do not camp there. This message also points out that anger does not have to become sin. You can be upset without being harsh. You can address a problem without becoming mean. You can set a boundary without letting bitterness take root. The longer anger stays, the more room it gives the enemy to stir up even more hurt, more division, and more frustration. That is why letting it go quickly matters so much. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also talk about how healthy relationships are built by learning this skill. In marriage, family, friendships, and everyday life, you will have moments where people frustrate you. But if you commit to not taking anger into the next day, you begin developing a life of peace, maturity, and emotional strength. Letting things go is a muscle, and the more you practice it, the stronger you become. If anger has been hanging on too long, let this encourage you today. Release it. Do not give it another night. Do not give it more room. Feel what you need to feel, talk through what needs to be talked through, set healthy boundaries where needed, but do not let anger stay longer than it should.
