We'll witness the rise of Jehu, God's judgment against the house of Ahab, the downfall of the infamous Queen Jezebel, and a turbulent period in Judah's history when the royal line itself seems on the verge of extinction. These chapters remind us that God's promises and His justice will always prevail, even when events appear chaotic and out of control. We'll see the consequences of generations of rebellion, but we'll also see God's faithfulness in preserving His covenant and protecting the line through which His greater plan of redemption would continue.
