motherhood isn't meant to be easy. it's meant to be a lot of things, easy isn't one of them. amazing, inspiring, beautiful, painful, exhausting, frustrating, confusing, infuriating, terrifying...yes. but not easy. inside of the mommy wine culture, the shaming videos of kiddos online, the skipping right to mindset, we're losing what mom's need most. connection.

episode 19. the one about not getting what you wished for

sometimes we don't get that thing we really want, that thing we worked really hard for or wished + prayed for. sometimes we do, and sometimes we don't. is there a story we tell ourselves when we don't get the thing, when we're not successful? how do we know we weren't successful, in the end? in this world of manifesting + endless coaching programs, getting lost in the chasing, wanting, and wishing is highly possible. we lose our ground...and then what happens to our self worth + confidence in the process?

episode 18. the one about radical acceptance.

"we cannot change anything unless we accept it. condemnation does not liberate, it opresses." Carl Jung. how do we find our way to acceptance? where do we begin? why does empathy + validation matter on our way to radical acceptance?

episode 17. the one about us against the problem

ok...we know that us against them never works, now what? it needs to be us against the problem. but how? what if we could remember that each side has needs that are just as valid as ours? what if we worked on our self awareness, to understand what our core needs + values are? what if we could work together to find creative solutions to meet both parties needs? what if it didn't have to be so hard?

episode 16. the one about us against them

in any relationship, us against them never works. not long term. inside of the #metoo movement, #blacklivesmatter, and an 18 month long global pandemic, i've asked myself over and over again...at what point did humanity forget that us against them never works. it needs to be us against the problem. without curiosity, understanding, empathy, and compassion, do we ever get very far? yes, the suffering is valid! yes, the anger is holy! yes, agreeing on what the problem actually is can be a challenge. and...shaming, blaming, dehumanizing others to find superficial safety and control never works. not long term.
