Regular repentance is the key to growing in godliness and sanctification. It requires that we see sin rightly, reorient in faith to God, and know the reward of experiencing the goodness of God.

David teaches us to lament to God by being honest with him, coming with humility to trust him, and being sure of his steadfast love.

Thanksgiving is not rooted in our circumstances but in who God is. We can thank God for what he has done, what he promises to do, and that he is with us now.

Even though God knows what we need before we ask, he still calls us to ask. God in his mercy gives good gifts to his children in response to our prayers and he also offers what we need most--communion with him.

God's people are called to praise him in his presence, celebrating his work and his character. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
