Simone Puccinelli: How Playing "Orphanage" at Age 7 Led to a Global Calling

Simone is the Founder and President of Simone's Kids, a nonprofit and ministry she launched in 2010 that now provides education, nutrition, and holistic support to hundreds of children in Uganda. Her leadership is shaped not only by her cross‑cultural work, but also by her personal story — walking through chronic illness since childhood, navigating the long and demanding road of medical school and residency alongside her husband, who is now a surgeon, and becoming a mother through the adoption of her two children after a long journey with infertility. Simone brings a rare blend of faith‑driven purpose, resilience, and practical leadership insight. She speaks with warmth, clarity, and honesty about building sustainable programs, empowering local leaders, and leading with dignity across cultures, all while balancing family, health, and calling. Natasha Kerr: The Honest Street Encounter That Changed a Single Mom's Life

I’m like an onion—many layers—but this season my journey through education best defines me. God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. Born in 1973 to a Sierra Leonean father and Grenadian mother, I grew up in a single-parent home in West London. My early childhood was full of vivid memories—nursery days, simple joys, and a natural love for learning and play. I moved schools a few times, and from early on I showed both resilience and independence. I loved sports, struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia, and often felt misunderstood in the classroom. My strengths were never fully recognised, and I faced challenges that shaped both my confidence and my character. Despite setbacks—including academic struggles, school transitions, and personal misunderstandings—I kept going. I eventually discovered my learning difference at 26, which changed everything. My life shifted when I encountered faith and gave my life to Christ. From there, I returned to education as a mature student, raised two children as a single mother, and overcame significant personal and academic challenges. I went on to achieve qualifications including GCSEs, a foundation degree, and a BA (Hons) in Early Years Teaching. Today, I work as a Learning Mentor, run my own company, Be One Hope, and am developing a mentoring framework to support young people in finding purpose and direction. For me, HOPE used to mean Hell On Planet Earth—but now, through God, it means Heaven On Planet Earth. My framework is built around: * H – Happiness * O – Opportunities * P – Purpose & Positioning * E – Emotional Literacy WEBSITE: https://beonehope.org/ [https://beonehope.org/]

Having guided over 100 individuals to write and publish their books and coached more than 1,000 people through workshops and speaking engagements, Tunji has become a trusted mentor for coaches, consultants, business owners, trainers, and entrepreneurs who want to write and publish their first book in 90 days or less, and use it as a tool to elevate their business, profile, and brand. Beyond the publishing world, Tunji is also the CEO of Accelerated Properties Ltd, a property investment company dedicated to sourcing and securing below-market-value deals to help investors build strong, sustainable portfolios. His influence and impact have been recognized globally. In 2021, Tunji was named an official honouree on the Brainz 500 Global Awards, celebrating 500 of the world’s most influential entrepreneurs and leaders. In 2023, he received the EPRA Leadership and Entrepreneurial Award for Creative Industry, presented by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Dominic Mbang. Most recently, in 2025, he was honoured at the prestigious House of Lords, Westminster, where he won the Multicultural Excellence Award for Sustainability Company of the Year. Tunji’s journey is one of resilience and faith. Born prematurely at just one pound alongside his twin sister, and surviving a hole in his heart that required surgery, his story is one of overcoming impossible odds. Growing up with dyslexia made education challenging, but instead of allowing it to define him, he transformed it into fuel for determination and purpose. Today, he is the author of five books, the founder of two thriving businesses, and a pastor leading a growing ministry. Alongside his wife, Elizabeth Olujimi, Tunji co-pioneers the KingdomPreneurs Summit and KingdomPreneurs Network, initiatives designed to equip and empower Kingdom-minded entrepreneurs and professionals to thrive and influence the marketplace with purpose. Together, they are proud parents to their beautiful daughter, Janaya Olujimi.
