Luke 22:1-2 - The Festival of Unleavened Bread draws near, known as Passover, and the chief priests and scribes look for a way to put Jesus to death. - They fear the people and conspire secretly against Him. Matthew 26:6-13 - A woman pours expensive perfume on Jesus' head at Simon the leper's house in Bethany, anointing Him. - Jesus defends her act as preparation for His burial and says her deed will be remembered wherever the gospel is preached. Mark 14:3-9 - While at Simon the leper's home, a woman breaks an alabaster jar of costly nard ointment and pours it on Jesus' head. - Jesus praises her for anointing Him ahead of burial and declares her action will be told in memory of her throughout the world.
