Time to talk about some TV history! This Munchie episode we are talking about season 1, episodes 9 and 10 of Maude, called “Maude’s Dilemma”. This sitcom two-parter is the first TV show to discuss abortion and it did so back in 1972 before Roe v. Wade became federal law (which has since been overturned). We chat about the many positions and opinions that are presented in these episodes. We also talk about how it is still a product of its time, especially with Bea Arthur’s character Maude’s mindset. For our first Munchie episode, Braless Watch is covering a fun Sci-Fi TV show called Sanctuary, specifically Season 3’s Episode 12 called “Hangover”! We chat about why Lily chose this show and this particular episode for our first. Beth talks about her initial reaction since she hadn’t seen the show before now.
