episode BREAKING NEWS: Cincinnati Bengals Restructure Joe Burrow's Contract and Sign Cashius Howell cover

Description

The Cincinnati Bengals made two significant moves Tuesday that signal the franchise is going all-in on competing in 2026: restructuring Joe Burrow’s contract and officially signing second-round draft pick Cashius Howell. Together, the decisions impact both the short-term flexibility and long-term direction of the roster. ------------------------------------ Check out our partners ⤵️ Book your appointment at Richter & Phillips today: https://richterphillips.com/pages/chatterbox-sports  Apply today at Sharefax Credit Union: Sharefax.org or call 513-753-2440 Learn more about our friends at QC Kinetix! Reports indicate the Bengals converted a portion of his 2026 salary into a signing bonus, creating valuable salary cap space after one of the most aggressive offseasons in franchise history. Cincinnati entered the offseason determined to rebuild its defense while keeping the core of its championship-caliber offense intact. The Bengals added major defensive pieces including Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, Boye Mafe, and Bryan Cook earlier this spring, but those moves tightened the team’s cap situation considerably. By restructuring Burrow’s deal, the Bengals gain immediate flexibility without losing their franchise quarterback or sacrificing future competitiveness. It’s a move elite NFL teams make regularly, and it shows Cincinnati is evolving financially alongside the league’s more aggressive front offices. The restructure also reinforces Burrow’s commitment to winning. While restructures don’t reduce a player’s total earnings, they often require cooperation and trust between the organization and its star quarterback. Just a few weeks ago, reports suggested there had been little to no discussion regarding a restructure. That changed quickly once the Bengals finalized their offseason plans and evaluated remaining roster needs heading into training camp. The other major move was the signing of Cashius Howell, the explosive edge rusher selected 41st overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Howell was one of college football’s fastest-rising defenders after transferring from Bowling Green to Texas A&M, where he developed into an SEC Defensive Player of the Year and unanimous All-American. At 6-foot-2 and roughly 255 pounds, Howell brings burst, bend, and pass-rushing production to a Bengals defensive front that suddenly looks far deeper than it did a year ago. His signing also means all seven Bengals draft picks are now officially under contract before the heart of offseason workouts. The combination of Burrow’s restructure and Howell’s signing paints a clear picture: Cincinnati believes its Super Bowl window is open right now. The Bengals are no longer operating cautiously. They’re pushing chips to the center of the table and building around Burrow with urgency.

episode Bengals Tight End Depth Chart: Who Makes The 53-Man Roster in 2026? artwork

Bengals Tight End Depth Chart: Who Makes The 53-Man Roster in 2026?

How will the Cincinnati Bengals shape their tight end depth chart ahead of the 2026 NFL season? In this episode of The Stone Shields Show, I break down every tight end on the roster, predict who makes the 53-man roster, and explain why this position group could play a much bigger role in the Bengals offense this year. The conversation starts with Drew Sample and Mike Gesicki, who are essentially Cincinnati's two TE1s. Sample continues to be one of the NFL's most underrated blocking tight ends, while Gesicki remains one of Joe Burrow's most reliable receiving weapons. I explain why both players are critical to the Bengals' success and why Gesicki could be in line for a huge 2026 season if Burrow stays healthy. I also discuss the biggest wild card in the room: Eric All Jr. His talent is undeniable, but injuries have limited him throughout his football career. If he can stay healthy, he gives Zac Taylor's offense a completely different dimension with his ability to block, catch passes, and line up all over the formation. Beyond the top three, I break down the battle between Tanner Hudson, Cam Grandy, Jack Endries, and Cole Katis for the remaining roster spots. Will the Bengals keep four tight ends or carry five like they have in previous seasons? I give my predictions and explain which players have the inside track to make the roster. Topics covered: Bengals tight end depth chart Mike Gesicki breakout prediction Drew Sample's underrated value Eric All Jr.'s injury outlook Tanner Hudson vs. Jack Endries Cam Grandy's roster chances Cole Katis UDFA outlook Bengals 53-man roster predictions 2026 Bengals training camp preview If you love Cincinnati Bengals coverage, hit LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and turn on notifications so you never miss a video from The Stone Shields Show. #Bengals #BengalsDepthChart #BengalsNews

episode Bengals QB Depth Chart Breakdown: Joe Burrow, Joe Flacco & Cincinnati Have The NFL's Best QB Room artwork

Bengals QB Depth Chart Breakdown: Joe Burrow, Joe Flacco & Cincinnati Have The NFL's Best QB Room

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback room might be the deepest it has ever been, and arguably the best in the NFL. In today's episode of The Stone Shields Show, I break down the entire Bengals QB depth chart, from Joe Burrow to Joe Flacco, Josh Johnson, and Sean Clifford, and explain why Cincinnati deserves major credit for how it built this position. Today's podcast is presented by 78 Cigars! Get your box today: https://www.anthonymunoz.com/anthony-munoz-78-cigars We start with Joe Burrow, entering Year 7 of his NFL career, and discuss why the urgency to win a Super Bowl has never been higher. Can Burrow stay healthy in 2026? If he does, the Bengals have every reason to believe they can compete for a Lombardi Trophy. Then we dive into one of my favorite moves of the Bengals' offseason: bringing back Joe Flacco. Cincinnati made the smart decision to invest $6 million in arguably the best backup quarterback in football, giving the team a legitimate chance to stay afloat if Burrow misses a few games. That's something the Bengals simply didn't have in previous seasons. I also discuss why Josh Johnson is an ideal QB3, what Sean Clifford brings to the roster, and why this quarterback room is deeper than any Bengals fan has seen in decades. Topics covered: Joe Burrow's outlook for the 2026 season Why Joe Flacco was a must-sign Bengals quarterback depth chart analysis Josh Johnson's role as QB3 Sean Clifford's chances of making the roster Can Cincinnati survive if Burrow misses time? Today's podcast is presented by Richter & Phillips! Head to https://richterphillips.com/pages/chatterbox-sports First, former NFL standout Jason McCourty joined the Bengals Booth Podcast and had some fascinating comments about new Bengals safety Kyle Dugger. McCourty described Dugger as a "physical freak" and a true chess piece capable of playing multiple roles in a defense. We dive into why Dugger could be one of the most important additions to Al Golden's defense, how his versatility fits Cincinnati's new scheme, and why a change of scenery could help him return to his best football. We also discuss Tee Higgins signing with Under Armour and why this move represents something much bigger than a new endorsement deal. Has the Bengals' national profile changed because of Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Higgins? We explain why Cincinnati has become one of the NFL's premier brands and why major companies are investing in Bengals stars like never before. Finally, Baltimore Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton had high praise for Joe Burrow, calling attention to Burrow's elite football IQ and ability to diagnose defenses before the snap. Could a healthy Joe Burrow unlock a much bigger role for Tinsley this season? We discuss why his production may have been limited by quarterback injuries rather than his talent and why he could become one of Cincinnati's most reliable depth receivers behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. We also examine several fascinating roster battles, including Daijahn Anthony, PJ Jules, Tacario Davis, DJ Ivey, and linebacker Swayze Bozeman as they compete for valuable roster spots during Bengals training camp. Which young players have the best chance to surprise coaches? Who could become a key contributor on defense or special teams? SHOCKING Cincinnati Bengals Offseason Take From National Media

ESPN's Seth Walder gave the Cincinnati Bengals a C for their 2026 offseason... but did he completely miss the mark? Today's podcast is presented by Richter & Phillips! Head to https://richterphillips.com/pages/chatterbox-sports Today's podcast is presented by Sharefax Credit Union! Become a member today and visit sharefax.org Today's podcast is presented by 78 Cigars! Get your box today: https://www.anthonymunoz.com/anthony-munoz-78-cigars In today's episode, we break down Walder's latest ESPN.com offseason grades and explain why his evaluation of the Bengals doesn't add up. Despite praising Cincinnati for addressing major defensive needs, Walder criticized the team's biggest move—trading for Dexter Lawrence—calling the price too high after the Bengals sent the No. 10 overall pick to the New York Giants. Was it really an overpay? We dive into why Lawrence remains one of the NFL's premier defensive tackles, why one "down" season shouldn't erase years of elite production, and why context matters when evaluating his 2025 performance. We also discuss why comparing an established All-Pro to a rookie available at No. 10 isn't as simple as it sounds. Plus, we examine: Why the Bengals desperately needed to upgrade the interior defensive line. Whether Jonathan Allen and Boye Mafe were smart additions. Why leadership matters as much as talent on defense. How Cincinnati's draft board made the Dexter Lawrence trade even more logical. Why the Bengals are clearly built to win right now, not three years from now. Do you agree with Seth Walder's C grade, or do you think the Bengals had one of the best offseasons in the NFL?
