episode The Power of the Holy Spirit cover

Description

In Ephesians 5:18–21, Paul gives a powerful contrast: “Do not be drunk with wine… but be filled with the Spirit.” The Spirit-filled life is not about losing control — it is about being surrendered to God’s control. In this message, we look at the power of the Holy Spirit and the evidence He produces in the life of a believer: worship, gratitude, humility, and submission to one another in the fear of God. Whether you feel spiritually dry, distracted, or in need of fresh strength, this message is a reminder that God has not called us to live the Christian life in our own power. He has given us the Holy Spirit.

episode Which Well? artwork

Which Well?

Last week we stood beside a man who needed to be born. This week we stand beside a woman who needed to live. In John 4, Jesus crosses every barrier society had built (racial, religious, moral, social, and gender) to meet a Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. He doesn't begin with her sin. He begins with a gift, offering living water that satisfies the thirst no earthly well ever can. This message walks through her story: the shame that sent her to the well at noon instead of morning, the moment Jesus exposes her past not to shame her but to heal her, her attempt to change the subject into a theological debate, and the moment she leaves her water jar behind and runs back to the very town she'd been hiding from. Every human being is thirsty. The question has never been whether we thirst, it's where we go to satisfy it. Which well are you drawing from? 📖 Scripture: John 4:1-42 🗓️ No Summer Nights this Wednesday 🎒 VBS kicks off tomorrow 🔥 Revival Nights with Pastor Derrick West coming in a couple weeks

Growing Up: Why Nicodemus Had Information But Missed Intimacy (John 3)

We all want to feel like we've contributed something to earn our worth in front of God, but the story of Nicodemus in John 3 flips that idea upside down. He was a Pharisee, a ruler of the Jews, a man who could quote the first five books of the Bible word for word. He worshipped, tithed, prayed, and showed up every time the doors were open. And Jesus still told him he needed to be born again. In this message, we walk through Nicodemus's three appearances in the Gospel of John, from his nighttime visit in John 3, to his defense of Jesus before the Pharisees in John 7, to his final act of devotion at the tomb in John 19. Along the way we look at what it means to move from religious performance to genuine transformation, why information alone can never produce new life, and why God still works in the dark, hidden places of our lives. If you've ever felt like you know all the right answers but still sense something missing, this one is for you.
