Not just behaviour, but the hidden geography of the heart. "If I have walked with falsehood… If my heart has been enticed… If I have rejoiced at my enemy's misfortune." Centuries before the Sermon on the Mount, Job submits his inner life to God's examination. And then throws down the gauntlet: "Let the Almighty answer me." That's not defiance. Chapter 30: now. Mocked. Alone. Unanswered. "I cry out to you, but you do not answer." Twenty days of accumulation, and here it hits hardest. The gap between "then" and "now" is unbearable. And the Redeemer? Still lives. Even here. Even in the gap. Name the gap.
