Entertainment is not Entertaining
Movies, Music and even newscasts are no longer original. There’s a sad sameness to it all. Honestly, it’s just a shell of what it once was. Of course, this is my opinion and I’ll explain in this episode.
Cousins!
Another in my special “memories” series. This time I’m talking about the memories with my cousins and family reunions and other great stories! I didn’t mention her in the podcast, but it was my cousin Margaret who initially gave me the idea to podcast and I’m forever thankful to her for that bit of inspiration.
Memories Light the Corners of my Mind.
As I approach my 60th birthday at the end of this year on December 21, I thought it would be fun to share some memories of my life. In this episode I’m talking about some memories from my early years in the early 1970s definitely what I consider the good old days.
That Sure Would Look Pretty In Color.
In this episode I’m talking about my early experiences in movie watching. Being raised in the late 1960’s-1975 there weren’t a lot of tv channels. So most of my movie watching experiences came from watching tv on local channels on a small black and white tv. In 1976 came cable tv, which opened me up to a lot more movies. By 1978, I got to watch them in full color. In 1979, I got to see my first major motion picture at the theatre.
If You Don’t Like The Weather Around Here, Hang Around, It’ll Change Tomorrow
Ah, Southern Illinois weather. In the winter months, you can freeze and sweat in the same day. It’ll be 80 one day and it might snow the next. Sometimes it rains for weeks, then it’s dry for months. Winter around here is the most unpredictable time of the year.
