Freedom from an unforgiving heart
I have not been called by God to make people feel guilty or feel shame, or feel useless, but to clearly present the good news of Jesus, who he is, his identity, and his work.
Freedom from the fear of rejection
John tells us ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.'
Freedom from the fear of faithfulness
Many people fear falling out of the grace of God. The standard of external moral purity is so high in some places that when things happen in life, they are overcome with guilt and shame and never go back again to church or they give up on their faith, or they stop praying because they believe they committed the unforgivable sin and God has rejected them.
Freedom from the fear of walking alone
But Christianity is a relationship with God, and not a ritual. It is knowing God and growing in our knowledge of God. Christians are called to follow Jesus.
Freedom from the fear of missteps
The Christian life is not forfeiting an hour a week to go to church, it is a new life following Jesus.
