episode #S4 #2 Bring Back Common Sense cover

Description

In this week’s episode, Tom reacts to the big local election results as Reform UK picks up over 1,400 council seats. He discusses why he’s been following Nigel Farage since 2010 and why he believes Britain (and the wider West) is in serious trouble if things don’t change at the next general election. He openly describes himself as a right-wing populist and Christian nationalist, and lays out what that means to him: strong family values, secure borders, proper education without political indoctrination, and parents — not schools — teaching children about sex (no drag queen story time for six-year-olds). Tom also talks about the disappearance of common sense, distracted parents glued to their phones, and why he sometimes feels like leaving Britain entirely to live somewhere like the Philippines. He makes it clear his ultimate faith is in God and Jesus Christ, not any political party. Honest, passionate, and very “virtual diary” style. A no-holds-barred episode about the state of the country and what actually matters.

episode #S4 #8 Slowing Down in Missouri artwork

#S4 #8 Slowing Down in Missouri

In this episode, recorded from Springfield, Missouri, Tom gives an honest update on his road trip. He explains that he has decided to cut the West Coast portion (Arizona, Las Vegas, California) short. Feeling overwhelmed by the intense driving, heavy traffic, and dealing with a sore throat, he’s choosing to take it easier and put his health and well-being first. He shares how impressed he was with the huge aquarium at Bass Pro Shops (much bigger than it looks from the outside) and his visit to the Blue Water Cafe. He’s currently resting and exploring Missouri at a relaxed pace before a quick side trip to Houston, Texas, then heading back to Tennessee to see David and his family again, before finally returning to Charlotte to fly home. A calm, sensible, and reflective “virtual diary” episode straight from the American road. See you next week, keeper. Get some rest and feel better soon.

#S4 #7 Still in Tennessee & Heading to Illinois

In this episode, recorded from his friend David’s house in Tennessee, Tom gives a relaxed road trip update. He’s enjoyed his time in the South — the mountain air, the heat, and especially the Southern hospitality. He confirms he’ll be leaving Tennessee on Sunday afternoon and heading to Illinois to meet his friend Joel for the first time in person. He’s planning to stay there until the 16th before continuing west toward Missouri. Tom also reflects that the real highlight of the trip so far hasn’t been the driving or the scenery, but finally meeting his friends face-to-face after knowing them online for years. A calm, easy-going “virtual diary” episode straight from the American road. See you next week, keeper. Safe travels to Illinois.

#S4 #6 Tennessee Update & Route Change

In this episode, recorded from his friend David’s house in Thorn Hill, Tennessee, Tom gives a proper road trip update. He explains the new route after scrapping Washington D.C.: heading from Tennessee through Nashville, then Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Las Vegas, and finally into California. He talks about how much he’s enjoying the Southern hospitality, the mountain air, and the heat, and says meeting David and his son James in person for the first time has been one of the highlights so far. Tom also shares his amusement at seeing a baby clothes store right next to a gun shop — calling it peak America — and reaffirms his strong support for the Second Amendment. A relaxed, honest “virtual diary” episode straight from the road. See you next week, keeper. Safe travels.

#S4 #4 Packed Bags, Yellow Shirt & Heading to America

In this episode, Tom shares that he’s all packed and ready for his big American road trip, which begins this Wednesday morning from London Heathrow. He talks about finally meeting several online friends in person for the first time — James in South Carolina, David and his son in Tennessee, Hannah in Missouri, Mike in Arizona, and Joel in Illinois. While he’s looking forward to seeing them all, what he’s most excited about is simply getting behind the wheel and driving across the country. Tom also opens up a bit about his girlfriend, admitting she’s softening his edges and that he’ll be calling her every night with updates so she doesn’t worry. He even mentions his favourite yellow shirt (with a little nod to someone who knows what that means). (His girlfriend, that is) A relaxed, personal “virtual diary” episode as he prepares to fly out in just a few days. See you next week, keeper. Safe flight.
