When God Uses You, But Still Needs to Change You

The Table of Mission

The Table of Mission is where the grace we have received at the King’s Table compels us to open our tables to others—especially to the outsiders, the broken, the despised—so that they too might encounter Jesus and be transformed by His grace. (Luke 19:1-10)

The Table of the Home

In order for the love of God and others to take deep root in our hearts and our children's hearts, it must start with our daily habits and routines in the home. Ordinary meals can be the tools for transforming the table into a bridge between heaven and earth.

The Table of Fellowship

Koinonia, which is the Greek word for the deep, committed fellowship we see in the early church, means more than casual friendship. It speaks of partnership, sharing, and intimate communion. The Table of Fellowship is where this koinonia is lived out. It is where the love of the Trinity is displayed in real time among God’s people. That table was where early Christians gathered to remember the broken body and shed blood of Jesus, to share meals, to pray, and to live out their new life together in koinonia. Even in a time of persecution, when meeting as Christians could cost them everything, the Table was at the very heart of their worship and fellowship. The grace we receive at the King’s Table naturally flows into the Table of Fellowship where we are transformed, discipled, and display Christ to the world. (Acts 2:42-47)

The Table of Grace

God’s invitation and the miracle of restoration from the Old Testament table behind the veil to Jesus, the Bread of Life, who tears the veil and seats spiritual outcasts like Mephibosheth at the King’s Table. Grace — God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense — has made a place for us at His Table so that we might know Him deeply and become witnesses to His redeeming love and transforming power. (2 Samuel 9)

Won by One

Every believer saved by grace is part of God’s master plan for winning the lost and making disciples of all nations. Every single one of us is called to be a worker in God’s harvest field of souls.  You don’t need a theology degree. You don’t need to be an eloquent speaker. You just need a heart that’s willing to be used by God—one conversation at a time. (John 4:1-42)
