In 2001, a group of friends got together and watched 24 straight hours of movies. They called it Moviefest. They had such a miserable time that they decided to do it the next year. And the next year. For 24 straight years, the friends have convened once a year to watch 24 hours of movies. This is the story of their friendship. This is the story of the rituals they developed. This is a story of the terrible movies they have watched. This the story of Moviefest. Hosted by Professor Arlo Landman, this is a faux-academic history of Moviefest--a tiny, idiosyncratic, long-enduring film festival.
