Phantoms, Fairies, Strange Lights, and Bigfoot: A Mixed Bag of Paranormal Phenomena

Colleen Coffman, a paranormal investigator, artist, and writer, sits down to talk about some of her experiences that inspire her creativity. Some of her experiences include glowing “cigar cherry” lights in a bush near the fence-line, huge fairy rings, light phenomena with trilling sounds, and a menacing shadow figure stalking her near a fence-line. She shares a Bigfoot-like encounter in a tent near the wood-line where everything suddenly went silent. She heard heavy bipedal footsteps accompanied by a light anomaly and a strange rotten smell before it all went away like it had never been there. Colleen moves on to describe a negative entity that appeared as a well-known horror movie baddie, which followed her for months. Colleen also mentions that there have been EVPs in her recording with other shows. We thought this would be a neat little ways for you, our audience, to take part and see what you may find. Please, reach out and let us know if anything jumps out in the audio. The Unintended Episode: Reframing Our Journey Into the Paranormal

In late February 2026, we hit a wall. In an effort to break through that creative block and embrace a fresh perspective, we decided to just sit down and record our unscripted, unfiltered thoughts. While we didn't originally intend to release this conversation, we realized it offers a rare, personal look at who we are and how our understanding of the paranormal has evolved.   Join Gabrielle and Jody as they reflect on a year of podcasting and where they see the future of the podcast headed. They discuss theories and ideas and talk about how their perspectives have changed since starting their podcast journey.  We're hoping this leads us on an interesting journey and we're thrilled to have you along with us. episode The High Strangeness of Bigfoot: The Intersection of Science and Mystery with Ronald C. Meyer and Mark Reeder artwork

The High Strangeness of Bigfoot: The Intersection of Science and Mystery with Ronald C. Meyer and Mark Reeder

Filmmakers and authors, Ronald C. Meyer and Mark Reeder, discuss why Bigfoot defies simple biological explanation, saying witness reports of Bigfoot vanishing, interacting with the environment unseen, and other anomalies lead him away from being an ape in the woods to something stranger. From the Patterson-Gimlin film to Jacques Vallée’s "Control System Hypothesis", we explore how intent and ritual—like investigations facilitate paranormal experiences. Gabrielle and Jody share a recent encounter and the four discuss why humans, unlike AI, are able to thrive in the mystery, and how the phenomena itself gives us just enough, to keep us asking, "What is out there?". Let us know what you think in the comments. episode You Asked a Question: Don Hill on the Legacy of Michael A. Persinger and Our Influence on the Paranormal artwork

You Asked a Question: Don Hill on the Legacy of Michael A. Persinger and Our Influence on the Paranormal

We are happy to share a conversation with journalist and artist Don Hill about his collaboration with Dr. Michael Persinger and the Koren (“God”) Helmet, which uses pulsed energies to stimulate the temporal lobes. Hill recounts a ghost experience in his Rocky Mountain home and later re-experiencing the same presence and fear in Persinger’s lab, raising whether such events can be created externally or reveal something that's already inherent. He discusses external factors that may shape paranormal and religious experiences, including geophysical features, piezoelectric effects in stressed granite, infrasound and standing waves, and “space weather” from solar storms possibly correlating with anxiety and common anomalous reports. He references Jung’s view that UFOs, poltergeists, and ghosts increase during cultural tension, and explores epigenetic memory. Hill argues some people may be exceptional “psychonauts”, but emphasizes scientific measurement, and urges collaboration between artists and scientists, using tools like sound and repetition, meditative states, and art to explain how perception can be shaped into reality. Roundtable: Intuition vs Instruments, Our Minds, and Experience

Gather round for a casual roundtable discussion with our podcast friends at NVus Alien and Haunted Vermont as we share how we got into paranormal investigating. We talk intuition vs. tech, and concerns with the misuse of devices like K2 meters, REM-Pods, and apps. We describe moments of fear, "gut feelings", and synchronicities as a guide to certain places or people during investigations. Does the paranormal exist and interact with us externally or from within? Let us know what you think! We're hoping to continue our discussions again soon. Let us know what you think!
