What We All Have in Common

Cultural differences abound and have frequently led to pernicious points of conflict such as racism, ageism, generationalism, sexism. Paul acknowledged huge differences but concentrated on what we have in common—like “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Now the Bad News

Paul now makes an obvious connection between “the righteousness of God is being revealed” (v. 17) and “the wrath of God is being revealed” (v. 18), and he goes on to explain that understanding the gospel requires understanding the wrath of God!
