Description

The Ash London Show welcomes mysterious artist Mr. Fantasy to discuss his funky new album Fantasyland, reveal a song muse named Angeline, and talk thrifting and Auckland. Mr. Fantasy listens to 16-year-old Yas’s song “Thinking ’Bout Stuff,” praising its simplicity and tonality, and confirms he’ll be seen in person soon as the hosts urge him to tour New Zealand. The team then plays Who Dat, with listeners correctly guessing Justin Bieber and winning a Timezone voucher. Later, the show and “pals” pitch a quirky offer to buy Yas’s six-song back catalog; after hearing “Barbecue Blues,” she accepts, giving them control. The episode also features Harry Styles performance talk, Olivia Wilde’s Call Her Daddy comments, Best Ever Gibberish, music teasers, and Guess What’s for Dinner. We’re The Ash London Show, a NZ music radio show on The Edge from 3–7pm weekdays! This is our pre-show podcast, where we get a little bit cheeky ;) See more from The Ash London Show at @theashlondonshow and @theedgenz Find your next favourite show and see more behind-the-scenes content on rova’s Instagram @rova.nz Hosts: Ash London, Harrison Keefe, & Yas Coe Executive Producer: Samantha Harding Producer: Nepia Ruwhiu Learn more about your ad choices. Cumjunctivitis... (we're back!!!!)

With Ash still extending her holiday overseas, Yaz and Harrison return from a week off to find their boss Jack showing off a new home coffee station built by his girlfriend Finn and her handyman dad, sparking jokes about dad skills and feeling inferior. They mark the podcast’s six-month anniversary, share how their breaks went—Yaz spending a full week with her mum in Nelson and seeing the intimate theatre show Constellations, while Harrison keeps rehearsing for an upcoming dance show and reflects on growing up dancing as the only boy and dating drama at his studio. They discuss feeling exhausted after “rest,” celebrate nearing 100,000 Instagram followers, debate paying for verification, and recap a FIFA World Cup match and a halftime show featuring Madonna, Justin Bieber, BTS, Shakira, Coldplay, kids on the field, and the Muppets. RADIO RECAP: Wednesday 8th July

The Ash London Show crew riffs on the FIFA World Cup by staging matchups with “biggest” artists from each country, crowning Morocco’s pick as the standout. They play “Flip It and Reverse It,” guessing reversed songs like Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” and Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady.” Brennen and Brynley from Singles Club join to talk season two, Brynley’s relationship, and their 11-week-old baby, plus the July 7 YouTube release. Ash shares a “fetish” for social-media singers, then Yaz runs a “Who Dat” quiz revealed as Sienna Spiro. The team previews a Drax Project-produced dance remix of Yaz’s high school song “Without You,” debates underrated artists, and finishes with Love Island green-flag/red-flag moments.
