An Inclusive Gospel (Part 1)

This study examines the first part of what is the longest narrative in Acts. This story was clearly important to Luke. Our study explains why, examining Cornelius' vision, Peter's vision, and how Peter responded. Ultimately, Luke is showing us Christ's inclusiveness to save all who believe, Jew or Gentile.

Power That Raises

This sermon centers on the transformative power of Jesus' resurrection, revealed through Peter's miraculous healings of Aeneas and Tabitha. These miracles display Christ's power to restore both physical and spiritual life. We also saw how Jesus can work His power through imperfect instruments (like us) to demonstrate His authority over death and paralysis—both physical and spiritual.

Preparing a Chosen Vessel

The sermon examines how God prepared the world's greatest missionary for useful ministry. Saul's preparation illustrates how God prepares His chosen vessels for divine service through four interconnected means: immediate employment, nurturing in obscurity, fortification through adversity, and preservation within community.

Sovereign Saving Grace

This sermon examines God's sovereign saving grace in Saul's conversion. While not every Christian can say they have had quite so dramatic a "Damascus road experience," yet the grace that saved Saul is the same that saves any sinner.

How True Conversion Came to a Lost Outsider

This text gives us an anatomy of true conversion in the story of the Ethiopian eunuch. Our study follows how it is God sovereignly prepares a soul for salvation and how He uses gospel proclamation to bring about conversion. The study concludes with a look at the product of a true conversion.
