Episode 2.13- The good (Beating #1), the bad (end of football), and the ugly (CyHawk week)

Episode 2.12- What is a Team of Destiny?

Football is what it is.... But could that mean they're destined to ruin fairytale seasons for their conference mates? If so, this could be another for the books... Both Cyclone men's and women's basketball teams head to Oregon this week to represent the school in a premier event, the Phil Knight Invitational. Each have a lot on the line, including... -Opportunities for marquee wins for the women looking to strengthen their resume while already considered a top team in the country -A chance to see Denae Fritz and Stephanie Soares against elite talent, as well as how the rest of the team adjusts around them -Can Caleb Grill continue his road shooting heater from last year... And maybe bring some home with him? -How do the men fare against power 5 opponents? Fortunately, we can watch for ourselves at home, as all games are slated for ESPN network channels. Looking elsewhere in the athletic department, swimming and diving pull off an upset and leave a host of shattered records in their wake from the Kansas meet. Volleyball finishes out their regular season at home Wednesday. Can they right the ship after a 2-game skid and stick at fourth in the league? Episode 2.11- Actual Basketball Content (etc.)

The football season is winding down and all Jamie and Eric feel is deja vu. Meanwhile, men's basketball has shown glimpses of this year's potential identity. Lockdown defense? Still present. Improved offense? Seems likely. New players? Lots of upside, including some unexpected facets that can really boost the Cyclones. One the women's side, the returners show marked improvement, but keying in on the newcomers... Denae Fritz and Stephanie Soares are "un-Iowa State-like" players by Jamie's standards... Episode 2.10- It's Every Season!

Iowa State football capped off Homecoming with their first conference win over West Virginia. Now, they stare down a team that's spent most of the season ranked, yet opened as about even odds. Can the Cyclones take down the Cowboys to make it two straight? 14- ranked Cyclone wrestling started the season with an emphatic win over #12 Wisconsin, notching a 26-6 win alongside two other victories to extend the country's second-longest dual win streak dating back to last season. Volleyball sadly swept by the Wildcats... BUT, can they take down Texas a second time, this time on the road? BASKETBALL!!!! Men's and women's basketball each tip off on Monday, November 7, day one of the season, plus another game later in the week.
