Born on August 18, 1986, she developed her fighting spirit as a high school wrestler, winning a state championship on the boys’ team in 2005.Tate turned professional in 2007 and quickly made her mark. She captured the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Championship in 2011 and later achieved her greatest success in the UFC, submitting Holly Holm in the fifth round at UFC 196 to win the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title in 2016.
