episode When is it time to quit your business and go back to Corporate America? cover

Description

Entrepreneurship is HARD AF. So...how do you know if you should keep riding the roller coaster or get off? Should you push through or walk away? The best way I can answer this for you is through my own story. This is super-freaking-vulnerable and I spare no detail about what happened. I truly hope this helps you. Episode Highlights: 🚨 I turned a Hail Mary conference into a sign from the universe, a ski trip panic attack, a flu four days before showtime, and a stolen phone from a Charlotte street into the most clarifying moment of my entrepreneurial life. 💸 I was making "great revenue" while secretly bringing home a teacher's salary. My husband did the math. I did not want him to do the math. 🗣️ The squad went from $750 to $269 a month and almost nobody bought it. A member told me I had just devalued my own product in front of everyone. She was not wrong. ✝️ I walked into a church for the first time and had a genuine come-to-Jesus moment (literally) on the side of the highway. I cried an ugly cry. Multiple times. On this episode. 📋 I took a contract project manager job, called it a "soft place to land," and it turned out to be exactly what I needed to name a number so ridiculous it felt like a joke. 🎙️ If your business feels spiritually broken (not just hard), this episode is your permission slip. And if you want to talk it through, my DMs are open. 📩 Want more of this unfiltered realness twice a month? Sign up for my newsletter at laurenwidrick.com [https://laurenwidrick.com/]. Your life is not fixed and permanent. You can go back, pivot, leave, return, and do all of it on your own terms. You will not die.

From Whiny to Warrior: My Chaotic YAP Challenge Meltdown 🎤

I ugly cried in a parking lot, prayed to God about Instagram likes, and somehow still got dinner on the table. Welcome to the glamorous life of a delulu millennial doing too much. * 😭 I had a full on breakdown crying from my office to my car... over a 45 second video * 🕳️ Went down a philosophical rabbit hole questioning literally all of my life choices mid traffic jam * 🔮 Begged my tarot reading best friend to tell me I'm not a victim * 💪 Learned that 20 focused hours makes you better than 80% of people at anything, and clung to that stat for dear life * 🍝 Cooked dinner, worked out, watched Love Is Blind with my kid, and edited a reel all before bed somehow * 🙏 Realized time isn't real, God's riding shotgun, and I can make anything my bitch if I choose to Delulu is the solulu. Go do the scary thing. Find me being unhinged on the daily on IG at @laurenwidrick or check out laurenwidrick.com.

40 Reels in 40 Days...WTF to Yap About? Let's talk content pillars.

40 Posts in 40 Days: WTF Am I Gonna Yap About? I said yes to a viral 40-day content challenge before I had a single content idea. Here are the five pillars I'm throwing at the wall. 🎤 Pillar one: my messy corporate-to-entrepreneur-and-back-again journey, told out loud👠 Pillar two: "Bitch Please," where I dare you activate your thing (and tell you how) in 60 seconds or less📅 Pillar three: Sunday Slay, my weekly confessional on chasing the big life💅 Pillar four: the "have it all" era, the job, the side hustle, the hot marriage, no apologies😂 Pillar five: pure millennial chaos, top five lists and jokes only our generation gets🙋 And I need your vote on which one deserves the most airtime Nervous won't buy me a pickleball court, so let's go.

Fix your whole damn life in 30 minutes a week - My Sunday Sprint Planning ritual that's embarrassingly effective

Most of us end the week feeling vaguely guilty about what didn't get done. What if you could flip that and feel like a total boss bitch winner before Monday comes? Goodies in this ep: 🗓️ I reread my life vision out loud to myself like a slightly unhinged optimist, and I'm convinced it's basically a cheat code for making dreams happen on accident. 🔁 My "Five Ls" retro framework (Ledger, Loved, Lessons, Leave Behind, Lay Foundations) sounds like corporate buzzword soup but actually made me realize this week was way better than I thought it was. 🏔️ We forced our kids to go hiking with us. Results: surprisingly wholesome. 📲 After a two-year Instagram exile, I signed up for a challenge that means I have to show my face online starting July 1st, including during 4th of July weekend. I'm terrified. I'm doing it anyway. 🎯 Sprint planning is just picking three things that matter most this week and ignoring the rest. Three. Not twenty. Revolutionary, truly. 🧠 The real punchline: when you start chasing one big dream, the rest of your life levels up automatically without even trying. I'm already manifesting the abs. The only thing standing between you and the life you want is a 30 minute Sunday sesh.

No venue, no speakers, no plan....no problem.

The homies told me to stop dicking around with an interest form and just sell the damn tickets. So that's exactly what I'm doing. Welcome to the chaos. 🔥 I set the date before I booked anything because backing yourself into a corner is actually a business strategy 💸 Early bird tickets start at $269 in July and climb every single month, so the longer you wait, the more it costs to procrastinate 🎙️ Five people have already asked to speak at an event with no stage, no lineup, and no agenda, and honestly same energy 📱 I'm going from zero Instagram posts in two years to 40 videos in 40 days starting July 1st because apparently I enjoy suffering publicly 💪 I quit Orange Theory for the Ladder app and Hilary Duff's peach is the reason, I will not be taking questions 🛠️ The day after the event I'm locking you in a room with snacks, dance breaks, and me poking holes in everything you've been too scared to launch 📬 Get my twice-monthly newsletter at laurenwidrick.com [https://laurenwidrick.com/] because the oversharing doesn't stop here Stop waiting until it's perfect. The people who built something did it messy, loud, and before they were ready. Your cave called, and it wants you to stop going back.

Activation Mode: The five B's that will get you off your A

You have a big thing. You're not doing it. Here's exactly why, and what to do instead. 🔥 I figured out why your dream is still sitting on a shelf, and it comes down to five things that all start with B 😤 Your breaking point is closer than you think, and I'll tell you what my best friend said that stopped me cold 🧠 The "butt simple" method that turned 200 side hustlers from overwhelmed to launched in under an hour 👏 "Bitch, please" is not an insult. It might be the most loving thing anyone can say to you, and you desperately need to hear it 📅 Why your goal is still a fantasy and not a reality (hint: it rhymes with "no deadline") 🙌 The one thing that collapses ALL five Bs into a single day, and why I'm building exactly that in Charlotte this fall 📬 Want more of this? I share ideas like these twice a month in my newsletter at laurenwidrick.com [https://laurenwidrick.com/]. Come hang. I built the thing I needed most because no one else was going to do it for me. Your move.
