Then, we’ll learn about The Backrooms, a movie inspired by the phrase that actually bringing young people to the movies this summer. Finally, we’ll hear from an expert on eerie places and experiences about the psychology of fear, belief and more. On today's show, Civil rights attorney Ben Crump and the family of 18-year-old college football player Nolan Wells are challenging official narratives and leading an independent investigation into his mysterious death. Wells went missing during a Fourth of July boat outing with friends on Horn Island, Mississippi. While local authorities initially stated they suspected no signs of foul play and pointed toward accidental drowning, Crump and the family argue the timeline and details "do not add up." Millions of Americans are using credit cards or dipping into savings accounts to afford groceries.  Is this happening to you or someone you love? House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to answer questions and reserved judgment during a press briefing regarding the fatal Immigration and Customs Enforcement shooting of a man in Maine. When pressed by reporters on whether Congress should demand accountability from the Department of Homeland Security over the agents' lack of body cameras, Johnson stated, "I don't know anything about this event, OK? I was a little busy yesterday so I'm going to reserve judgment". He explained that he had worked 22 hours over the last few days and had not yet received a briefing on the matter.
