Description

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] Three months ago, The Shake Up landed in the world. And what three months it's been. I didn't know what to expect when I put that book out...  Honestly, I half convinced myself only my mum would read it.  But then the messages started coming in - from people I know, people I don't, and one lady in Spain (still can't get over that one). And somewhere in the middle of launch week, an email landed in my inbox from someone offering to come on the podcast and interview me about the book at the three-month mark. That person was Miish Grixti [https://miishgrixti.com/]. And that email is one of the nicest things anyone has ever offered to do for me. I met Miish about four years ago at a business workshop in Brisbane - and the moment you meet her, you just can't help but love her.  She's warm, she's real, she's the kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever.  She's also a creative strategist and coach who helps business owners shape and sell their work - especially when they're too close to it to see it clearly.  She's the founder of WriteLikeYou.app and has spent the past eight years helping coaches, creators, authors and personal brands close the gap between how good their work is and how well it actually lands. Oh - and she lives on a dairy farm in northwest Tasmania surrounded by rolling green hills and 500 cows.  Today, I handed her the mic. And she asked me everything... eeeekk... In this episode we talk about: * What the past three months of having a book in the world has actually felt like - the messages, the surprises, the moments that stopped me in my tracks * The writing process - how I wrote The Shake Up in three focused weeks and why I couldn't have done it any other way * The audiobook - what I thought it would be like vs what it actually was (spoiler: sweat. so much sweat.) * What I'd do differently if I launched it again * What's next - including a hint at book two (and three) and who it's for Grab The Shake Up book — available now in paperback and audiobook. 125. The Cost of a Bigger Life with Lachlan Stuart

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] So here's what happened... I was mid-session at a Ray White strategy day - talking about how to achieve any goal you set for yourself - when I spotted someone walk into the back of the room. And I completely lost my train of thought. Because I knew exactly who it was. Lachlan Stuart [https://www.instagram.com/lachlanstuart/]. Endurance athlete. High performance coach. Man who ran 58 marathons in 58 days across all 50 US states and 8 Australian territories. And husband of the beautiful Amy Sheppard. And my immediate thought was - what is HE doing here. Turns out he was speaking after me. Cool cool cool. I jumped on my Instagram stories after my session and mentioned that I'd spotted him and had a minor internal meltdown. He saw the story. And then messaged me to say he felt the exact same way watching me speak. Two speakers. Same room. Both thinking how do I follow THAT person. And now he's on The Shake Up Podcast. So. In this episode Lachlan and I get into the real stuff - what it actually costs to build a bigger life, which part of your life quietly collapses first when you're just ticking along, and why most people are surviving well but living far too small . This one is going to sit with you. I promise. 124. Second Half Starts Now. Shall we set you up for success?

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] We are officially, undeniably, no-getting-around-it at the halfway point of 2026. And before we go any further, I want to ask you one question. How was the first half?  Not the Instagram version. Not the "yeah good, really busy" version you give people when they ask. The real one. The honest one. The one you say to yourself at 6am when nobody's listening. Because here's the thing - you already know the answer. Somewhere in that gut of yours, you already know exactly what the first half looked, felt and sounded like. So today we're not going backwards. This episode is about what happens next. I'm asking you six questions. Real ones. The kind that might make you a little uncomfortable. I'm also answering every single one myself - live, no script, no filter - because if I'm going to ask you to get honest, I should probably go first. 👉🏼And make sure you download my FREE 90 Day Guide [https://www.candiceharvey.com/resources] to help you turn your insight into action! Second half starts now. Let's go🧡 🎧 If this episode made you think, laugh, or question something - send it to someone who needs a little permission to do life differently.  📲 Screenshot, tag me @candiceharvey__, and let me know what hit home. 123. 1300 days Alcohol-Free: The Things Nobody Tells You

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] It was 1st July 2016. Dry July had just started. I lasted ten hours. Dad offered me a glass of wine after work and honestly - it wasn't even a hard decision. Dry July was done before it really began. Fast forward to 2026 and I haven't had a drink in nearly 1,300 days.  Three and a half years. And I want to talk about it. Not in a preachy way. Not in a "I've seen the light and you haven't" way. In an honest, real, this-is-what-actually-happens way - because there are things nobody tells you about giving up alcohol.  Things that are hard. Things that are weird. Things that will make you laugh.  This episode is for the people who don't drink, the people who are curious about stopping, the people who've dabbled in giving it a break - and yes, even the people who have zero intention of quitting but want to listen anyway so they can say "see, that's exactly why I still drink Candice." All are welcome here. And also... happy 3.5 years of being alcohol-free to me!!! 🎧 If this episode made you think, laugh, or question something - send it to someone who needs a little permission to do life differently.  📲 Screenshot, tag me @candiceharvey__, and let me know what hit home. 122. You Walk the Walk - But Do You Talk the Talk? With Voice & Communication Advisor Sally Prosser

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] Yesterday I was standing in front of 70 people in Rockhampton and for the first few minutes? Crickets. And I just kept thinking - I know these people are incredible. They work they do is incredible. So, what was holding them back? That moment is exactly why I recorded this episode. This week I'm joined by the brilliant Sally Prosser - voice and public speaking coach, TEDx speaker, author of Voiceprint, and host of That Voice Podcast. Sally spent years as a TV news journalist reporting for Ten, Seven and the ABC before crossing to the other side of the mic - and she has been helping people find and use their voice ever since. Here's the thing - there's a massive difference between speaking a lot and actually being heard. And so many talented, capable people are quietly losing credibility without even realising it. In this episode we get into meetings, negotiations, influence, and what it actually takes to make people listen when it counts. If you've got a big meeting, presentation or tough conversation coming up - this one's for you. 🎧 Press play. Your voice is worth using well. 121. How To Stop Feeling Behind In Life - What Buying My First Home at 40 Taught Me

Send Candice a text! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2166241/fan_mail/new] This week Candice gets personal about buying her first home at 40 - and the 5 things it taught her about ditching the invisible checklist and finally stop feeling behind in life. FYI: you're also not behind. You're just on your own timeline. And this episode will remind you why that's actually a freaking great thing. In this episode Candice talks about: * The quiet pandemic nobody is talking about (and it's not burnout) * Why the timelines we judge ourselves against were never ours to begin with * The thing a lot of us do to protect ourselves from disappointment - and why it's costing us * Why pausing and resetting is actually one of the smartest things you can do * The celebration step that high achievers almost always skip Grab a decaf flat white on oat. This one's a good one☕ 🎧 If this episode made you think, laugh, or question something - send it to someone who needs a little permission to do life differently.  📲 Screenshot, tag me @candiceharvey__, and let me know what hit home.
