Description

Madeline and Charlotte are back with a real wild ride of an episode that starts with Tom Brady’s Mother’s Day posts. Then, NBA Playoff gossip: LeBron and the Lakers are out, so what will he do next? Stay in LA? Play for the Cleveland Cavaliers again? Retire? The Knicks’ vibes are insanely good and Philly got absolutely destroyed by a Josh Hart zinger. Plus: Daryl Morey is out as the 76ers president of basketball operations.  Luka Doncic put out an icky press release about his custody battle, Portland Fire upset NY Liberty at the buzzer, and F1 is taking employee feedback. And, finally: Real Madrid is an absolute disaster: Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni are fighting each other, Kylian Mbappé is laughing, and club president Florentino Perez held the most unhinged press conference the gals have ever seen. Which is saying something. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze’s money-themed wedding, LeBron rumors, and is Aaron Rodgers putting a strategic end to his ongoing feud with his family?

Madeline and Charlotte are back! First up, a few wedding athletes to discuss. The tennis player Tommy Paul married the influencer Paige Lorenze at…the Great Gatsby house? The WNBA’s Megan Gustafson married David DiLeo, and their dog and her former coach stole the show.  Then, the main event: a deep dive into the saga of Aaron Rodgers’ family estrangement. He allegedly hasn’t spoken to his family in years, and there has been a lot of public back-and-forth between him and his parents and brothers. Now, it seems like he’s starting to mend fences. But let’s be honest: You never know with this guy! ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

World Cup half-time show and Trump disaster recap, and another deep dive into why Tom Brady is yet again crashing out online and in real life

Madeline and Charlotte are back with their final recap of the World Cup! What a wonderful five weeks it’s been, capped off by a great Spanish victory. The first-ever half-time show was pretty weird, and Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, BTS, and Coldplay should’ve just played the hits, but at least the Muppets were there. Plus: Trump talked trash about everyone he had to stand next to on stage, including the Spanish Men’s National Team.  Then, the main event: Tom Brady is once again crashing out online and in real life. The gals talk about his recent feud with Logan Paul, which seems to be laying the groundwork for a WWE match. He is also deeply involved with CardVault by Tom Brady, and a series of other strange brand deals that have a lot of people questioning what he’s up to. The gals think they cracked the code. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Bam Adebayo punched Tyler Herro in the face, Mitchell Robinson trolls the Knicks and the Celtics, and will LeBron actually go to the Sixers? An NBA extravaganza with Fred Katz

Madeline and Charlotte are back with dear friend of the show, senior NBA reporter/writer Fred Katz! The gals talk to Fred about the biggest stories in the NBA from Summer League and free agency.  First up: Mitchell Robinson was traded from the Knicks to the Celtics, and he is now trolling both Celtics fans and his former teammates. Fred describes Mitch’s persona and tells behind-the-scenes stories about him (including some insights from his forthcoming book about the Knicks!) and everyone spends a surprising amount of time talking about fonts.  Then, the punch heard round the NBA! Bam Adabayo punched his former teammate Tyler Herro in the face at 9am at Summer League in Las Vegas — is it because Tyler Herro “doesn’t believe in history” or anything that happened before 1950? And, finally, what is the angle that LeBron James’s camp is trying to spin with the Sixers talk? Is it real? Or is he just going to Golden State? ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Why World Cup VAR is the LinkedIn of sports, is Jude Bellingham cool with his coach?, and Bryce Harper’s bizarre FanDuel video

Madeline and Charlotte are back! First, they talk about the lawsuit that uncovered a video Phillies star Bryce Harper made for a FanDuel customer — and Harper’s PR response.  Then, the gals dive into World Cup drama. First, the response to racist remarks by Spain’s former prime minister. Then, they talk about France vs. Spain, and why the US men’s soccer program needs to learn from those countries. Then, a discussion about the controversial calls that led to England and Argentina making it to the semi-finals (involves tin-foil hat theories). The gals also discuss England star Jude Bellingham and his coach, and decide that VAR is the LinkedIn of sports.  Finally, the gals talk about Argentina, because the country’s soccer federation is at the center of an FBI investigation in South Florida. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Then, a deep dive into the lore of Norway’s star player, Erling Haaland, from his Snapchat and YouTube vlogs, to his shopping trips in Dallas for cowboy hats, to his Birkin bags, to his cool soccer-playing girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen.  Then, an update on some compressed flowers to debate: Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and Brooklyn Adams’ engagement, and Falcons wide receiver Drake London and Sofia Rose Gabay’s engagement. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
