Names of God (Ehyeh) Part 2
Ehyeh (I AM): Jesus the Bread of Life, Light of the World, and God’s Unconsumable Presence
Lesson 5 in the series on God’s names focuses on Ehyeh/Ehyeh Asher Ehye (“I AM,” “I AM THAT I AM”), revealed to Moses (Exodus 33:19) as God’s answer to Israel’s 400 years of slavery and need, and fulfilled in Jesus, whose “I am he” displays power (John 18:4–6). The teaching reviews Elohim, El Elyon, and Adonai, then explains why Jesus’ “I AM” claims in John are consequential, especially “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35) and “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12): Christ satisfies spiritual hunger, and believers must “eat” the Word, not chase feelings.
Pastor Ryan challenges “Sunday Christianity,” saying true salvation shows fruit through intimacy with Christ, and uses the burning bush and God’s fire as sustaining, purifying presence.
