episode How to Guard Your Heart in a Noisy World cover

Description

Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how important a wellspring was in ancient times. It had to be protected because everything downstream depended on it. That is the picture Scripture gives us for the heart. If the source gets contaminated, everything flowing out of it is affected. That is why guarding your heart matters so much. What you listen to, what you watch, what you replay in your mind, and what you say about yourself all shape the condition of your inner life. This message is also a reminder that the world is constantly trying to shape your beliefs, lower your standards, and pull you away from God’s way of doing life. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly point out how this applies in parenting, relationships, music, media, social platforms, and everyday thinking. If you allow the wrong things in long enough, they start muddying the water. But when you guard your heart and keep feeding it the Word of God, good things begin to flow out instead. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also use Solomon as an example. He started in wisdom and favor, but later allowed his heart to be turned. That is such a powerful warning that no one drifts in a good direction by accident. Guarding your heart is not a one-time decision. It is a daily choice to protect your peace, your purity, your convictions, and your thinking so your life can keep moving toward God’s best. If you want a better life, start by guarding the source. Guard your heart. Protect what goes in. Keep the water clean. Because everything you do flows from there. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Don’t Let Problems Steal Your Day artwork

Don’t Let Problems Steal Your Day

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Psalm 118:24, and this episode is all about choosing joy. The Bible says, “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” That means joy is not something we have to wait for. It is a decision we can make today. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to let problems, circumstances, and disappointments take over the day. But this is not the day the problem made. This is the day the Lord made. God gave us another opportunity to live, love, grow, encourage someone, and experience His goodness. This message is also a reminder that there are treasures all around us, but we have to choose to see them. Sometimes the blessings in our lives feel familiar, and we stop appreciating them. But family, health, provision, relationships, and another day of life are still gifts from God. Gratitude helps us recognize the treasure that is already in front of us. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also point out that rejoicing is not based on everything going perfectly. The verse does not say to rejoice only when there are no problems. It says, “We will rejoice.” That is a committed decision to look for the good, hold onto gratitude, and refuse to let a difficult situation steal the entire day. If you want more joy in your life, start by deciding what kind of day this will be. This is God’s day. Look for the treasure. Find the good. Rejoice in what He has given you, and be glad in it. episode God Is Strong in Your Weakness artwork

God Is Strong in Your Weakness

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in 2 Corinthians 12:9, and this episode is all about grace, weakness, and the power of God meeting us exactly where we are. The Bible says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” That means grace is not a reward for being strong. It is God’s gift to us in the places where we feel weak. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to focus on our flaws, failures, and past mistakes. We can carry condemnation like a heavy weight and allow the enemy to use our weaknesses against us. But Paul gives us a completely different perspective. Instead of being ashamed of his weakness, he realizes that it creates room for the strength of Christ to rest on him. This message is also a reminder that grace does not give us permission to live however we want. Grace gives us the strength to keep growing. Our obedience does not come from fear or condemnation. It comes from realizing how deeply Jesus loves us and responding to that love with a desire to live differently. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also encourage us to freely give the same grace we have received. It is easy to become the grace police and focus on everything someone else is doing wrong. But condemnation rarely changes people. Love, grace, value, and hope create an environment where people can grow and allow God to work in their lives. If you feel weak, discouraged, or ashamed today, let this encourage you. God’s grace is enough. His strength is working in the places where you feel weakest. Receive that grace, keep growing, and freely give hope and grace to the people around you. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Change Your Focus, Change Your Life artwork

Change Your Focus, Change Your Life

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Matthew 6:22, and this episode is all about what you choose to look at. Jesus says that the eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. That means what you focus on affects how you feel, how you think, and how you experience life. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how this applies to every relationship in life. In marriage, friendship, family, work, and even how you see yourself, you will find what you are looking for. If you keep looking for what is wrong, what is missing, and what is frustrating, your heart will fill with darkness, irritation, and disappointment. But if you start looking for what is good, redeemable, and valuable, your heart begins to fill with light, gratitude, and peace. This message is also a reminder that many struggles in relationships come down to focus. When people were dating, they usually saw only the good in each other. They were excited, full of love, and quick to give grace. But over time, if they stop looking at the good and start focusing only on flaws, the relationship begins to suffer. The same person may still have so many amazing qualities, but they get lost under wrong focus. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also point out that sometimes looking for the good means seeing past behavior and finding compassion. Maybe the person frustrating you is carrying pain, insecurity, disappointment, or hurt. Maybe they cannot even see the good in themselves right now. And sometimes looking for light also means seeing the good that God has placed inside of you, instead of comparing yourself to someone else and focusing only on what you do not have. If you want more joy, more peace, and stronger relationships, start by changing what you are looking at. Look for the good. Look for the gold. Look for the light. You will find what you are searching for. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Why More Stuff Does Not Bring More Peace artwork

Why More Stuff Does Not Bring More Peace

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today we’re in 1 Timothy 6:6-8, and this episode is all about contentment. The Bible says, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” That is such a powerful truth because in a world that constantly tells us we need more, bigger, newer, and better to be happy, God shows us a different way. Real gain starts with learning to be content. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to get caught up in wanting more and more things, thinking that the next item, the next opportunity, or the next level will finally make us happy. But Paul teaches us that contentment is actually the secret. If you can be happy where you are, if you can be grateful for what God has already given you, then you position yourself to enjoy life in a completely different way. This message is also a reminder that God is not trying to keep good things from us. He loves to bless His children. He knows our needs and even our wants. But when our hearts become driven by desire instead of trust, life gets frustrating fast. Contentment keeps us grounded. It keeps us peaceful. It keeps us focused on God instead of on what we feel is missing. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason also point out that when you learn to live with contentment, you actually enjoy what God has already placed in your life. Food, clothing, peace, family, provision, and daily blessings stop feeling ordinary and start feeling like gifts again. And when your heart is full of gratitude, you find that God often adds even more because you are in a healthy place to receive it. If you want real gain in your life, learn the power of contentment. Be grateful for what you have. Trust God with what you want. Let your joy come from Him, not from chasing the next thing. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Don’t Take Anger to Bed artwork

Don’t Take Anger to Bed

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Ephesians 4:26-27, and this episode is all about anger, offense, and learning how to let things go quickly. The Bible says, “Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.” That is such a powerful reminder that anger itself may come, but what we do with it matters. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to carry anger longer than we should. Something happens, someone says the wrong thing, a situation feels unfair, and before long we are still holding onto it hours later, days later, or even years later. But God’s Word shows us a better way. Feel it, process it, learn from it, but do not camp there. This message also points out that anger does not have to become sin. You can be upset without being harsh. You can address a problem without becoming mean. You can set a boundary without letting bitterness take root. The longer anger stays, the more room it gives the enemy to stir up even more hurt, more division, and more frustration. That is why letting it go quickly matters so much. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also talk about how healthy relationships are built by learning this skill. In marriage, family, friendships, and everyday life, you will have moments where people frustrate you. But if you commit to not taking anger into the next day, you begin developing a life of peace, maturity, and emotional strength. Letting things go is a muscle, and the more you practice it, the stronger you become. If anger has been hanging on too long, let this encourage you today. Release it. Do not give it another night. Do not give it more room. Feel what you need to feel, talk through what needs to be talked through, set healthy boundaries where needed, but do not let anger stay longer than it should.
