The water may be a crystal clear blue, but do not swim in the Lake of Monroe. The once abandoned French Stone Quarry, the land was purchased by a private citizen, who later sold off different parcels. But the area remains private property, and is off-limits for visitors. Monroe Township Fire Chief Joseph Hernandez says over the years, they've responded to numerous incidents of trespassing at the lake, including people keeping hurt. He spoke with WWJ's Pat Vitale.
