Description

It's a big weekend for high school girls sports. The Girls High School Flag Football Championship is happening Saturday and Sunday, with 15 teams competing for the Michigan state title. The league, founded in 2022 by the Detroit Lions, aims to bring girls into the sport to build confidence, foster relationships, and engage them in the game. Chris Fritzsching, Executive Director of Detroit Lions Football Education also says opportunities to play post high school are on the rise. He spoke with WWJ's Rachel Miller. (Photo: Getty Images)
